Eligibility criteria.

A iHealthConsumer HSA account can be established by an “Eligible Individual”. It is the account owner’s responsibility to determine if he or she is an “Eligible Individual.”

“Eligible Individual” as described in the Part III – Administrative, Procedural, and Miscellaneous Notice 2004-2
Note: Eligibility is determined by the month. There may be specific exceptions to the list below.

1. Coverage under a HDHP on the first day of the month.
2. Not covered by any other non-HDHP health plan.
3. Not enrolled in Medicare.
4. Not claimed as a dependent on another person’s tax return.
